Lesson 6 – Playing Your First Notes

Lets start nice and easy and focus in on B, A and G. As you start feeling more confident you we can progress you onto other notes in your next course.

Lesson 5 – The Diaphragm

It is time to practise breathing in slowly through your mouth and filling up that diaphragm. Keep your shoulders down and relaxed and practise in front of a mirror without your saxophone. It is time to let the belly hangout I am afraid!

Lesson 4 – The Sling

It is time to ditch those thick padded straps I am afraid! The thinner ones are becoming a bit of a rarity so I will be launching my own brand of straps for you all in the new year, fingers crossed! Stay tuned on Instagram @sarahlouiseings

Lesson 3 – The Embouchure

Keep your embouchure nice and round and do not bite the mouthpiece. No smiling for us saxophone players, it is all about a nice round circle.

Lesson 2 – Setting Up the Saxophone

Right Guys, Lets get cracking with putting the saxophone together. Make sure its nice and straight and inline with your body. Always re check this every time you set up your instrument, forever more! I do this everyday!
